Espero que lo sepan valorar, ya que lleva muchas horas recopilar información.
Incluye todos los idiomas.

El archivo en español no me permite modificarlo (aparentemente está cerrado de alguna manera que no puedo acceder a "abrirlo"). La modificación es porque tengo los circuitos en otro orden y alguno distinto a los que están allí. ¿Habrá manera? Abrazo.

Lo puedes hacer con Ultra-Edit (de pago) o Notepad ++ (gratis)

Have a look at the new release (last one is 0.851 from 6th may) which is able to translate gpaedia circuits menu names also.

Una duda, sabéis si se puede cambiar el nombre del circuito?
En el slot 4 tengo puesto Bahrain y cuando estoy en el apartado de carrera aparece San Marino ya que es slot de San Marino.

This belongs to menu data (not gpaedia) but you can edit it althesame.
Look at the .str-files in GP4s folder "ldata".

I did some research with the english.str and could edit the names of some circuits by changing the nat. adjectivs, but unfortunately not all of them. For example track2 is always "Malaysian", which is not from the str-file (may be from gp4.exe?). The format also is quite weird (tracks in very special order, only 16 circuit countries, one "Argentine" that is not included in 2001).

The 1986 mod has got some own str-files (english, italiano) and with them the circuit menu names are just deletet. Perhaps there is no better solution

The 1994 mod has got correct circuit menu names, thus it must be possible.
I did not yet see how they have done it without str.

I see, the names are created by TSM using the value behind "Adjective=" in the settings.ini of the track.

The yellow marked lines are the only one used in the menus.

There are a lot of circuit/country - names in the str-file. To recognize what is used I changed names of the first circuit into different values. "Albert Park+1" and "Australian+2" were the only names used in the menus. Of the many possible menu pictures here two examples:

Gracias a los dos, efectivamente se encuentra en la ruta C:\...\Grand Prix 4\ldata\ *.str
Con que programa los editas con ultra-edit me aparece bloqueado cuando hago una guardar como dentro del juego no se ve bien.

It looks possible and seems to be no big deal.
Changing str-files might create problems though (for example with TSM), but we will see.

As the picture in post #18 is applicable for english.str and deutsch.str, the Grand Prix names in espanol.str, francais.str and italiano.str are found at the end of the files. like this (espanol example):
